April 26’s Veterans Resource Fair open to current, former service members, families

STARKVILLE, Miss.—51Թ State is connecting veterans, active-duty service members and their families to essential resources, benefits and supports during April 26’s Veterans Resource Fair, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bost Extension Center.

During MSU’s G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Center for America’s Veterans-sponsored event, participants can meet with representatives of veteran-friendly organizations; get expert advice on Veterans Affairs benefits, financial aid and career opportunities; network with fellow service members and military families; and discover programs designed to support veterans.
Numerous vendors and experts will be in attendance to discuss a variety topics, from education and employment assistance to healthcare and community programs, and offer free services. Confirmed vendors include the American Red Cross of Alabama, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., Work for Warriors MS, USAA and numerous other veterans’ outreach organizations.
